Rare Weights & Measures Act Pottery Gill 1826

Wonderful pottery Gill measure transfer printed with the British Lion and Crown and dated 1826. This measure relates to the 1824 Weights and Measures Act which initially was meant to come into play on May 1825 but was delayed until 1826. The size is an Imperial Gill measure. Condition overall is very good with only one small foot chip and two smaller rim chips restored. No cracks. Height 5.5 inches, width 5 inches. English C1826
