Ancient Order Of Foresters Masonic Reverse Glass Painted Sign

Very unusual large reverse glass painted sign for the Ancient Order Of Foresters.  The motto at the bottom stands for “Unity Benevolence & Concord”and was used only by the foresters from 1834 onwards.  The original frame is mahogany veneer.  The painted and gilt design has worn in places but generally for such an early piece is in remarkably good condition.  The frame also has some losses in places but does not detract. Length 29 inches, width 25 inches.  English C1840.
