Rare Antique Blue Glass Saturn Ring Ribbed Mercury Christmas Kugel Ornament

Exceptionally rare blue “Saturn” shaped heavy glass christmas ornament kugel in a form i have not seen before.  Unlisted in the book on kugels by Tucker Beesley. This is a major new shape in the world of kugel ornaments and believed to be the only blue example to exist. Very minor oxidation around the base and brass cap and a pinprick nibble on base. Measures 3.5 inches wide. French or German. Late 19th century
