Transitional Squat Shaft & Globe Wine Bottle

Here we have the most glorious bottle with a string rim to die for! This bottle is without doubt the best example I have seen and a very rare form for a bottle of this age. Height 6.25 inches, width 6 inches. The bottle has a very minor amount of oxidation and pitting but generally is 98% original surface sheen with no chips or cracks. If you collect shaft and globe forms this one crosses the dateline between early onion and the end of shaft and globe shapes. English C1680/85.
