Ironstone Pottery Apothecary Pill Tile Slab

Rarely seen black and white transfer ware pill slab made from ironstone pottery. Decorative coat of arms logo for Mander Weaver & Co of Wolverhampton. This company supplied the chemical and medical trades. The tile was used to measure powders and roll pills. Length 10 inches, width 8 inches. Minor edge chips repaired only.Early to Mid 19th century.
