Antique Nailsea Glass Handled Jug
A fine example of a handled Nailsea/Alloa glass jug. The body is profusely spotted with white enamel glass splashes including some on the handle. The lip is nice and wonky as is the handle when applied by the glassblower and this all adds to the “eye appeal” of this well proportioned jug. No chips or cracks, just the odd burst bubble on the surface which is very common to these pieces. The pontil is chunky and rough and has left a cone shaped point in the middle. Height 10 inches. C1800/20. English or Scottish.
